1. The service
Roast Writer™ ("the Service") generates personalized roast lines and speeches using AI. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. The Service is intended for social settings — birthday parties, retirement and farewell celebrations, weddings, engagements, anniversaries, graduations, professional milestones, and similar events. It is not intended to produce content used to harass, bully, defame, or harm any individual.

All prices are in USD. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never store your payment details.
3. The Regenerate option
The Regenerate option ($2.99) is a new, separate purchase — not a free revision of your original order. When you Regenerate, a fresh set of 8 roast lines is generated using the same person's details but with new angles. Your original 8 lines remain accessible in your browser session. Regenerate purchases carry the same 7-day satisfaction guarantee as all other purchases.
4. Satisfaction guarantee
If you're not happy with your roast lines or speech, email us at hello@roastwriter.ai within 7 days of purchase and we'll issue a full refund — no questions asked. Refunds are processed via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days.
5. Delivery and access
Results are delivered instantly after Stripe payment confirmation. Access is managed via a session token stored in your browser's localStorage. If you lose access, use the "Restore My Roast" link in the footer or email us with your purchase email and we'll recover your results. We recommend saving your lines promptly — session files are retained for a limited period then deleted.
6. Acceptable use
You may use your roast lines for personal, social, and entertainment purposes. You may not:
- Use output to harass, defame, bully, or harm any individual
- Resell or redistribute the output as your own product or service
- Generate content targeting protected characteristics (race, religion, disability, sexuality, gender identity, etc.)
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate requests to the Service
7. AI-generated content
All output is generated by AI. We cannot guarantee every line will be appropriate for every audience. You are responsible for reviewing the output before delivering it. We do not claim copyright over AI-generated output — you are free to use, adapt, and deliver the lines as your own.
8. Limitation of liability
Roast Writer™ is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for that specific purchase. We are not responsible for any social consequences of delivering a roast — including awkward silences, hurt feelings, or being asked to sit down early.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects any changes. Continued use constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
